Re-Chloriding Electrode Silver Wire and Silver Wire/Pellet assembly for use as a ground:

Performing this procedure on the electrode silver wire will help prevent Drifting and unstable voltage offsets,

and in case of the ground wire assembly it will reduce electrical noise.

• • For the electrode silver wire, the entire wire should be submerged in an eppendorf tube containing bleach.

    • Bleach can be found under the sink to the right of the fume hood in Histology room.

  • For the silver wire/pellet assembly, the wire should be submerged in an separate eppendorf tube containing bleach, but the pellet should remain out the bleach solution. Failure to prevent the pellet from interfacing witht the bleach
