Histology Czar Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Train anyone that needs to have access to microtome

  • • Be sure to emphasize safety, along with what needs to be done to keep blade and microtome in good shape.

    • Attached is a document that includes microtome safety/usage instructions. It may be helpful to print this sheet out and give it to people when training them

• Add new microtome users to Microtome Calendar

  • • Be sure to give them access to adding/changing events so that they can schedule themselves when they need to use microtome

• Keep solutions shelf in lab clean and organized

  • • Check for any expired solutions and dispose of them in the correct manner when necessary
