Exceptions to normal orders

Fisher Scientific -

Many parts are sold from the Stockroom, which is in the warehouse-looking thing in the upper science parking lot. The list of all the general lab supplies that you can get from the stockroom is in the top of the black magazine holder thing to the side of Nora's desk - they have glassware, chemicals, plasticware, sponges, etc.

Unfortunately, because reasons, Nora will have to order this stuff for you.

Yes, even if it's from the stockroom.

ETHANOL AND BLEACH CANNOT BE ORDERED FROM ANYWHERE ELSE EXCEPT THE STOCKROOM, but even they have to be ordered online, first.

EDIT 3/2015 - A bunch of this will likely change in the next 6 months. Details will be conveyed via emails and/or available on request.

Note: You will absolutely not order or hook up N2O if you are not Steve, Nora, Arani, Neil or Jason!

Marshall Farms -

Call 315-587-4485 x148 or email Cortney Wadsworth cwadsworth@marshallbio.com

Marshall's physical address: 5800 Lake Bluff Rd., North Rose, NY 14516

Place an order against PO 66774, expires 6/30/14. (For our accounting purposes: FVH 1 ; 71110. Don't have to tell Cortney that.)

Delivery is on T, R. Jills (moms) whelp (give birth) 42 days after breeding. Breeding happens M-R.

Occasionally a litter comes a day early or late - see maybes on below chart. Greg is good about letting us know what is and is not available on a given day.

Put in an 'order' on the ordering page, with a note saying that you've already placed the order by phone or email. In item description, include the arrival date, age on arrival, and number of kits and jills. Enter n/a for the catalog number, and "1" for quantity. The relevant info will pop up on the animal stats database the next time stuff gets ordered.

Email Debbie and ferretcare@lists.brandeis.edu at Foster to let them know when the animals are to arrive.

FOSTER NEEDS TO KNOW AT LEAST 1 DAY IN ADVANCE SO THAT THE CAGES CAN BE WASHED AND THEY HAVE SOMEONE THERE TO PUT THE ANIMALS AWAY.

Patterson Vet - (Controlled Substances)

This takes an extra few days because of the extra paperwork on our end. The workflow is:

1. Place an order on the order page.

2. Seneca (or whoever is in charge of ordering) will order the controlled substance and will need the controlled substance certification (found in the drug binder).

Realize, Inc - (3D printed parts)

Login information is on the login page, here.

Email address is in a central location so everyone can access it: vhlabshare@gmail.com. REMEMBER TO CHECK THIS. The password to that account is also on the login page.

The ordering procedure is simple - upload the design of the part you want printed in the appropriate format (we've been using .IGS and .STL), specify the quantity and printing material and place the order.

So far we have been using High Resolution SLA with Accura Extreme (material). Marjena mentioned when she left it up to them what we got was "soft, porous, and difficult to work with."

> It gets paid for on the lab Pcard.

- For 'Shipping Payment' choose 'Charge my Fed EX Account'

Shipper Account #: 323167478

- Get Pcard from Nora

- Once order is placed submit TWO standard order forms through the website. One for the item, and one for the Fed EX charge. This is so Nora knows what is going on!
